Hive Co-op

The Hive Co-op is a place where freelancers and entrepreneurs can come together and work in a collaborative environment. It's part Internet Cafe and part Executive Office. Check out the FAQ at http://hivecoop.pbwiki.com/FAQ.

I've actually been looking at Executive Offices lately when Nate sent this over. The offices I could afford were dumps. The offices I wanted were too expensive and closed off. As I mentioned before, I am very interested in finding places where I can be productive. From the looks of it, the Hive might be the ticket. It opens April 1st in downtown Denver.

UPDATE: A reporter from the Denver Business Journal published an article about the hive and it includes a quote from me. Needless to say, I was shocked.

Where do you work most productively?

Have you ever sat down and thought about where you are most productive? I'm talking about a physical location rather then a 'mental state'.

If you don't know, there's only one way to find out. You have to test different places.

Mike Hostetler is an inventor, entrepreneur, programmer and proud father. Having worked with web technologies since the mid 1990's, Mike has had extensive experience developing web applications with PHP and JavaScript. Currently, Mike works as the CEO of appendTo, LLC, The Company Dedicated to jQuery, based in Denver, Colorado. Heavily involved in Open Source, Mike is a former member of the jQuery Core team, leads the QCubed PHP5 Framework project, and participates in the Drupal project. When not in front of a computer, Mike enjoys hiking, fly-fishing, snowboarding and spending time with his family.
